Season 2015-16

Preparation for life in the second tier of Scottish Football began straight after the end of the previous season with the appointment of a permanent management team.
Ian Murray arrived from Dumbarton and took over team affairs two days after the final game of the season.
The rebuilding started with a clear out. McAusland, Teale, Tesselaar, McGinn, Kello, Genev, Dayton, Sonupe, Sadlier, Reilly, Arquin, Brown, Wylde and Yaqub all leaving. Of the out of contract players only Gow and Thompson signed new deals.
Scott Agnew (Dumbarton), Stuart Carswell (Motherwell) and Cameron Howieson (Burnley), Jordan Gallagher (Rangers), Jamie Langfield (Aberdeen) and Keith Watson(Dundee United) arrived to bolster the squad.
Two loan signings arrived for the season, with Paul McMullan (Celtic) and Luke Conlan (Burnley) joining up.
As the season got underway the squad was further strengthened with the arrival of experienced defender Andy Webster and two forwards in Aberdeen youngster Lawrence Shankland on loan and former Celtic youth player Jaison McGrath.
After a very poor start which saw just two league wins from 16 attempts, Ian Murray resigned on 12th December following a 1-0 defeat to former club Dumbarton. He was replaced by Alex Rae on the 18th December.
The new manager wasted no time stamping his mark on the squad with McMullan, Conlan and Reid returning to their parent clubs and Alex Cooper (Falkirk), Gary Irvine (Dundee), Rocco Quinn (Ross County) and David Clarkson (on loan from Motherwell) arriving.
A big change off the pitch was the departure of Chief Executive Brian Caldwell, to be replaced by a Saints legend in Tony Fitzpatrick. An appointment that provided a much needed lift to the club and the supporters.
