Season 1922-23

Fresh from the success of Barcelona, Saints began 1922-3 with optimism, beginning with a 2-1 victory over Hamilton and continued to show improvement from recent years, to finish the season in 6th position, their highest finish in nineteen years.

Walker was once again the top scorer, but could not quite reach the heights of the previous season and had to settle for 21 goals.
