+1 - Australian goalkeeper Jordan Holmes joined on loan from Bournemouth in January 2019. He was an unused sub in 20 matches before returning to Bournemouth in June 2019.

+2 - Ghanaian defender Abdul Senanu was signed in August 2002 and named as substitute against Queen of the South on the 27th August in the Challenge Cup. He never made an appearance and was released shortly after without featuring in a matchday squad again.

Esmael Goncalves played for Saints as a Portuguese national

Terry Springthorpe, Junior Mendes and Billy Mehmet played for Saints as English nationals

Robert Millar, Jock Marshall and George O’Neill played for Saints as Scottish nationals
