In this match Saints full back Callaghan went off injured after 30 minutes, reducing Saints to ten men for the duration of the match, but they still held on to earn a replay!

Celtic Legend Patsy Gallagher missed a penalty in this match!

The attendance of 20,000 was a new record for love Street. Ironically, Celtic were the opponents when this record was broken in 1925 and again in 1947!

 This 30,000 crowd was a new record for a match at Easter Road! Hibernian lost one of their forwards, Gilmour, with a broken collar bone at the start of extra time and Saints were able to take advantage of the extra man!
