The Saint

The Saint newspaper first appeared in March 1977 and was the first publication outwith the match programme solely concerned with all things St Mirren.
The paper was produced weekly throughout the season and was available through many oulets around the town and was a popular source of information.
However due to financial constraints it was a short lived venture and after just 8 months the final issue was published in October 1977.

Towards the end of 1996 the Friends of St Mirren Association(Fosma) decided to relaunch the Saint, and the first issue of the paper was released to the public.
Unlike it's predecessor, this was distributed free of charge, with all printing costs being met by advertisers.
The publication ran from 1996 until 2005, publishing around 3-4 times a year.
After a gap of five years, season 2010-11 saw two issues of the Saints produced, one at the start of the season and one in November.
