Over the years there has been a lot written about St Mirren, however most of it has been in publications
which have not been solely about the club and therefore is not substantial in Saints information.
The first major historical book relating to Saints only appeared in the early part of the 21st Century,
125 years after the club were founded.
There have been several smaller publications from the club and other sources prior to this time, but these
are difficult to obtain today.
Many of the older publications have been personal reflections by fans of the club.
There are also many biographies by ex-players/managers which give mention of certain periods of the club,
most notably Sir Alex Ferguson, Frank McAvennie, Frank McGarvey and recently Billy Abercromby.
The best source of information about the club is undoubtedly the matchday programme which has been produced
This along with the Black and White magazine contains information and pictures of the players and management
of the club and keeps the supporters up to date with current events within the club.
In the seventies and then again for a period in the late 90's and early part of the 2000's, the club also
produced the Saint newspaper which had various stories about all things Saints.
