Victor Munoz was only at Love Street for a few months during season 1990-91, but
deserves a mention as being the most capped internationalist to have worn the
stripes, although his 60 caps for Spain were gained prior to his arriving in
Paisley.
His career started with Real Zaragoza, before spells at Barcelona and Sampdoria.
He joined St. Mirren after discussions with his former Barcelona team-mate Steve
Archibald, who was at Love Street at the time. His debut was at Parkhead on the
17th November 1990 and he went onto
clock up 21 matches scoring two goals, the best of these was a thirty yard
volley against Stranraer in the Scottish Cup.
Victor played his last match for Saints against St. Johnstone on 9th April 1991,
before returning to a coaching job in Spain.
