Player Profile

Hugh Morgan played for Saints during the 1890’s. A fast and skilful inside forward he was regarded as being an astute playmaker who also had an eye for goal.
Known for his quality dribbling he soon caught the eye of the International selectors and won two honours during 1898 when he played for the
Scottish League against the Irish league and then went on to play for the full international side against Wales in March 1898.
These performances encouraged Liverpool to lure him south later that year where he gained another cap before transferring to Blackburn Rovers where he ended his career in 1903.
