John Morrison took over the managers job at St. Mirren after a playing career at Falkirk and 18 months in charge at Third Lanark. Although managers still had limited responsibility in the playing side of things, he accepted his part in the clubs first taste of relegation in1935- just as he accepted his part in the glory of their promotion the following season. He resigned in 1936, following a dispute over policy decisions.
