Singapore Cup
The day after their victory in
the 1987 Scottish Cup, St.Mirren flew to Singapore to compete in a four team
invitational tournament sponsored by Epson, the giant computer corporation.
The other teams invited were
Southampton (England), Perth Azzuri (Australia) and Universidad Autonoma
(Mexico). The tournament took the shape of a round robin competition with the
two top teams competing in the final.
